| Solera | Legacy | Omnitracs Sylectus TMS | Transportation Management | SCM | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021 PiVAL implemented Omnitracs Sylectus TMS to support its Transportation Management operations across Canada and the US. The deployment positioned Omnitracs Sylectus TMS as the operational TMS platform used by logistics coordinators for day to day routing, monitoring and freight management activities.
The implementation emphasized core Transportation Management capabilities including route planning and execution, load tendering and dispatch, driver management, order preparation and brokering, and support for intermodal and over the road movements. Configuration work included operational workflows for quotation development and negotiation, transportation costing inputs, and TMS administration tasks tied to WMS support and EDI operational flows.
Omnitracs Sylectus TMS was deployed into an ecosystem that included Full Circle, multiple GTMS instances, Microsoft Office productivity tools and HubSpot for sales lead generation, with explicit operational integration points for EDI and SAP TMS administration. The TMS served as the central orchestration layer for customer, partner company and driver management while coexisting with WMS administration and sales systems.
Governance and rollout were structured around logistics operations and customer service functions, with logistics coordinators on site in Ontario supporting RFP creation, logistics project development and coordination with top management. Operational ownership encompassed distribution network management for retail and wholesale clients, export and import shipment handling, and ongoing TMS administration and process oversight.
