In 2022 Pori Energia implemented IFS Cloud ERP as its core ERP Financial platform to consolidate finance, project and operational processes across the Pori Energia Group. The deployment focused on standard IFS Cloud ERP system capabilities to streamline financial management and support project management, procurement, inventory management, sales, and maintenance and service operations for the company operating in Pori and the Satakunta region.
Configuration work emphasized out of the box IFS Cloud ERP functionality and removal of prior customizations, enabling a smoother implementation path and future Evergreen updates. Functional scope included financial management modules with automated invoice processing workflows, project accounting, procurement cycle automation, inventory control, sales order handling, and field maintenance and service operations, with standard solution templates used to reduce bespoke code.
Aveso acted as the system supplier and implementation partner, implementing REST API integrations for IFS Cloud ERP to automate aspects of financial management and to connect transactional workflows where required. The implementation covers roughly 200 users across Pori Energia Group and spans finance, project teams, procurement, operations, and service maintenance groups, with Aveso committed to ongoing maintenance and development support.
Governance and process changes centered on adopting standard IFS processes and an Evergreen model for continuous updates, backed by Pori Energia project team engagement and Aveso consulting expertise. Reported outcomes from the deployment include enhanced and streamlined processes, reduced manual work and error potential through new automations such as invoice processing, and a platform posture that facilitates keeping the system up to date and secure without heavy one time upgrades.
