Invarion Legacy Invarion RapidPlan Traffic Management SCM n/a 2015 2017
In 2015, Portland Bureau Of Transportation adopted Invarion RapidPlan to streamline temporary traffic control planning, permit drawings and sign manifests as part of its Traffic Management tooling. The deployment placed Invarion RapidPlan into active use for producing engineered temporary traffic control plans across multiple divisions in Portland, Oregon. Invarion RapidPlan implementation focused on core capabilities for temporary traffic control planning, permit drawing production and sign manifest generation, with configuration to support plan templates and standardized drawing deliverables. The application was used to author the drawings included in PBOT's inaugural Temporary Traffic Control Plan Manual in 2017, demonstrating template and drawing library reuse. Operational coverage included permit teams, plan production workflows and field coordination groups across multiple divisions within PBOT, aligning Traffic Management and permitting business functions. The architecture emphasized a centralized application instance accessible to planners and reviewers, enabling consistent deliverables and versioned plan assets. Governance changes included standardizing plan templates and formalizing sign manifest workflows to improve plan quality and productivity, outcomes explicitly reported by PBOT. RapidPlan remained in active use from 2015 and was instrumental in producing standardized Temporary Traffic Control plans for the bureau.
