The deployment focused on Aptos Point of Sale capabilities typical for large retail chains, including transaction processing and payment acceptance, in-store pricing and promotions execution, receipt handling and store-level sales reporting. The implementation leveraged Aptos infrastructure for centralized services and orchestration, providing a managed backbone to support store terminal software and configuration distribution.
Rollout governance emphasized a phased store-by-store deployment across an estate approaching 850 stores in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain and France, covering retail checkout operations and store teams. Operational scope targeted store operations and merchandising workflows, and the program was positioned to scale as Poundland and Dealz expanded their international footprint.
