In 2018, PPG Deco Czech implemented ION ITS Treasury, deploying a Treasury Management application to consolidate corporate treasury and accounting workflows for its EMEA financing vehicle. The deployment centered on the Brno finance location, operating in daily cooperation with the EMEA Treasury front office team based in Uithoorn Netherlands, and covered treasury, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting responsibilities for the financing entity. ION ITS Treasury was configured to support cash management and FX operational controls, including deal confirmation and forward trade review workflows, cash pooling and in-house bank balance maintenance, and automated booking of bank movements related to intercompany loan agreements and cash sweeping. The implementation addressed accruals and interest calculation processes, and enabled structured GL account analysis and treasury account analysis tasks within the application. The ION ITS Treasury deployment integrated with SAP for period opening and closing and GL posting, and supported balance sheet submission flows into HFM. Banking connectivity and market execution workflows interfaced with BNP Paribas, SG Markets and HSBC, and the initiative operated alongside an IT2 treasury system and an AFOS bank reconciliation improvement project to tighten bank statement processing and reconciliation. Governance and process changes included designation of local treasury account analysis reviewer and internal trainer responsibilities, Cadency style account review practices, and structured daily confirmation and weekly review cadences for cash pooling and intercompany loan activity. The implementation anchored treasury and accounting controls within a single Treasury Management application and established operational workflows and role based responsibilities across finance and treasury teams.
