| Oracle | Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise | Oracle NetSuite ERP | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 Preferred Popcorn implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP, migrating from Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise to address growing international sales and an acquired processing business. The switch to an ERP Financial platform reflected the companys need to centralize accounting as it expanded to serve customers in over 70 countries and more than 400 wholesale accounts.
Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to provide core ERP Financial functionality, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, consolidated financial reporting, multi currency accounting, inventory costing and order to cash workflow support. Configuration focused on automating manual bookkeeping and invoicing tasks that QuickBooks could no longer handle, and on establishing standardized financial processes across entities.
Operational coverage extended across finance and accounting, wholesale sales accounting and the recently acquired processing operations, enabling consolidated month end close and standardized financial controls across domestic and international revenue streams. The implementation aligned transactional flows between inventory costing and financial modules to support cost accounting and customer billing for theater and global wholesale channels.
The initiative was driven by finance leadership, with director of finance Brenda Budzinski leading requirements definition and stakeholder alignment during the rollout. The project emphasized process standardization, data centralization and role based financial governance to replace disparate QuickBooks files with a unified ERP Financial system.
The stated objective of the migration was to automate time consuming tasks and make operations more efficient, positioning Preferred Popcorn to manage multi entity accounting and global customer billing through Oracle NetSuite ERP.
