| CDK Global | Legacy | CDK IntelliDealer Financial Management | Automotive ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 Premier Automotive implemented CDK IntelliDealer Financial Management as its Automotive ERP to centralize finance and accounting across its dealership footprint. The deployment established a corporation level financial management instance to handle all financial aspects of the dealership group, including annual reports, schedules, journals, cash flow, D.O.C., forecasting, financial statements, tax returns, bank reconciliation, floor plan reconciliation, trend analysis, pro forma preparation, and statutory reporting responsibilities.
CDK IntelliDealer Financial Management was configured to automate a wide range of accounting workflows and dealer-specific posting logic. Functional capabilities implemented included automated auto stocking, a virtual billing clerk, auto posting of FCA warranty and credit memo transactions, automation of we owe processing, service pricing automation, standardized core reports and tracking, digital contracting, and virtual deal jackets. The implementation also included document management by setting up DSDA cabinets for archiving original documents to support a paperless environment.
Operational coverage for the Automotive ERP spanned all of Premier's dealerships and was managed by an accounting team led by a supervisor responsible for seven staff. Managed processes included monthly bank and floor plan reconciliations, preparation and defense of FCA rebate audits, and consolidation workflows for manager reporting. The system supported finance and accounting business functions across the dealer group and interfaced with audit and rebate processes required by manufacturer programs.
Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, including authoring the mandatory policy and procedure for month end NVR across all Premier dealerships and reporting manager report concerns to the management company. The deployment explicitly supported audit readiness, demonstrated by successfully preparing and defending FCA rebate audits on four separate occasions, and created an archival process through DSDA cabinets to reduce paper handling and centralize document governance.
