In 2022 Public Group implemented Soft1 Payroll as part of a coordinated HR and payroll modernization effort, leveraging the Payroll application together with Soft1 HRMS to support HR and payroll digital transformation across its retail operations. The implementation scope targeted retail payroll processing and statutory compliance for Greece, centralizing payroll administration alongside existing HR records from Soft1 HRMS.
Soft1 Payroll was configured to deliver payroll automation and compliance capabilities, including automated payroll calculation workflows, statutory tax and social security handling, payslip generation, and configurable payroll scheduling and off cycle processing. Configuration emphasized local statutory rules and audit trail capture to align payroll calculations with Greek regulatory requirements while enabling automated batch processing common to retail payroll cycles.
Operationally the deployment integrated Soft1 Payroll with Soft1 HRMS to synchronize employee master data, compensation elements, and absence records, enabling a single source of truth for HR and payroll inputs. The rollout covered HR and payroll functions across Public Group retail sites and corporate HR, consolidating payroll runs and reducing manual handoffs between HR and payroll processing teams.
Governance changes focused on standardized payroll workflows, role based approvals, and centralized control of compliance parameters, supporting consistent execution across the retail footprint. Reported outcomes included improved payroll accuracy and streamlined HR and payroll processes, reflecting the implementation focus on payroll automation and compliance with local regulations.
