In 2019, Pumpen Group implemented Auto Count Accounting V2.0, an ERP Financial application. The deployment targeted Pumpen Sdn. Bhd.'s finance and administration functions, with Ms. June Lai, Finance and Admin Manager, named as the internal contact for requirements and rollout on behalf of the 30 person Malaysian professional services firm.
The implementation centered on Auto Count Accounting V2.0 core financial capabilities, configured for general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows. A custom Plug-In was developed and programmed to satisfy specific local business rules and process requirements, leveraging the application extension model to provide capabilities beyond out of the box functionality while keeping project scope and cost proportional to the organization's size.
No external system integrations are specified in source documentation, the operational scope stayed focused on company wide finance and admin processes in Malaysia. Configuration and automation emphasized invoice processing, ledger posting rules, and management reporting, aligned with the ERP Financial category and typical accounting workflows for a small services business.
Governance for the project was driven by clearly articulated and specific requirements provided by the finance team, enabling the vendor to program the Plug-In to address gaps. The project was described as a successful implementation that delivered high end features at a low end cost, enabling Pumpen to avoid purchasing an alternative solution estimated at RM200000 and to retain an extensible accounting platform.
