In 2020, QA Flooring Solutions implemented OrderWise Inventory Management, an Inventory Management application. The deployment focused on operational inventory controls at the QA Flooring Solutions Liverpool site and addressed purchasing, warehouse, transport and accounts payable related workflows.
OrderWise Inventory Management was used for daily stock level amendments and reconciliation to align system counts with physical warehouse counts, and for recording credits and refunds into a consolidated credit report. Functional capabilities in active use included invoice scheduling and review for supplier payments, creation of order reports for internal and external stakeholders to coordinate dispatch, and recording courier deliveries and associated costs for cost capture and operational planning.
Operational coverage centered on the Operations and Purchasing Administration functions, with direct handoffs to Warehouse and Transport teams and involvement from finance through invoice processing activities. Staff were trained to a high level on OrderWise Inventory Management and Microsoft Office applications to support data entry, reporting, and collaborative planning workflows.
Governance and process changes were implemented through formalized routines, including distribution of the daily credit report to relevant parties, an invoice scheduling cadence to enable timely supplier payments, and a standardized order reporting process to coordinate despatch planning and resolve supplier versus warehouse stock discrepancies.
