In 2013, QAI Laboratories implemented Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise as its core ERP Financial application. The work targeted the Canada headquartered professional services and laboratory operations of QAI Laboratories, a 70 employee organization, and leveraged existing internal working knowledge with QuickBooks to inform the approach.
Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise was configured to support core ERP Financial functional modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting, with inventory control options enabled where inventory tracking was required. The deployment used a multi user Enterprise edition configuration to enable concurrent access for finance and administrative staff, and role based permissions were applied to segregate duties and protect financial data.
The rollout emphasized process standardization for chart of accounts, invoicing and payment approval workflows, and enabled audit trail and reporting feeds for management accounting and statutory reporting. Existing staff working knowledge with QuickBooks shaped training and configuration choices during the rollout, and governance responsibilities were assigned to finance leadership for ongoing maintenance and reconciliation.
