IBM Maximo was configured as an active computerized maintenance management system with core capabilities focused on asset registry, job plan development, work scheduling, automatic job triggering, and predictive maintenance workflows for reliability planning. The implementation included creation and migration of asset records and engineering job plans into IBM Maximo, plus dashboard metrics and a sustainable management system that profiles daily operations, efficiency benchmarks, resource utilization, and reporting deliverables.
The program included cross functional integration work tied to a global timecard project, collaborating with HR, Finance, and Facility teams to align time capture and payroll milestones, completing the integration in a nine month period. The maintenance organization also integrated bill of materials management practices with IBM Maximo to support engineering, design, operations, and manufacturing use cases, and the implementation engaged e staff for decision level oversight.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical work, with development of standard operating procedures, process flow charts for system escalations, and SMART goals for direct and indirect reports to create measurable reviewable milestones. The administrator role and project management focus enabled increased maintenance productivity, explicitly documented as greater than 25 percent quarter over quarter improvement in job plan driven productivity.
