Sage Legacy Sage 50 ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Ready Foods implemented Sage 50 as its ERP Financial application to support purchase ledger and payroll operations. The deployment was provisioned at Ready Foods Ltd Caernarfon and explicitly covered finance, HR and payroll functions for factory and office staff. Sage 50 was configured to manage purchase ledger workflows including supplier invoice entry, PO number generation, matching invoices to goods received notes and delivery notes, supplier statement reconciliation and weekly BACS runs. Accounts receivable and sales ledger activities recorded sales invoices, posted customer receipts and produced aged debtors reporting, while bank processing included daily reconciliation of sterling and euro bank accounts and petty cash posting. Operational integrations identified in user notes show Sage 50 operating alongside the Themis clocking system to collate clocking in information for payroll, and web banking to execute BACS supplier payments. Payroll outputs are prepared for Head Office submission and furlough amounts are calculated for HMRC claims, positioning Sage 50 as the transactional core interfacing with timekeeping, web banking and corporate payroll consolidation. Day to day governance and ownership was performed by a Purchase Ledger and Payroll clerk from August 2016 to present and a Finance, HR & Payroll Assistant from September 2019 to August 2021, responsible for authorization workflows, reconciliations and HR recordkeeping. Controls include authorized invoice approvals, reconciliation cadences for supplier and bank statements, payroll validation steps prior to payment and routine maintenance of personnel files and HR correspondence within the Ready Foods Sage 50 ERP Financial environment.
