In 2018, Rebicycle Canada implemented Lightspeed eCom (ex SEOshop) in the eCommerce category. The deployment linked Lightspeed eCom with Lightspeed Retail to create a unified operational environment for online orders and in store workflows at the Montreal bike build shop. This configuration centralized product catalog, pricing, and order capture across channels.
Lightspeed eCom provided the storefront and online order management layer, while Lightspeed Retail handled point of sale and inventory transactions. The implementation incorporated booking and appointment driven order flows to manage custom bike builds, using appointment applications Booxi and Ikeono to orchestrate scheduling, customer communications, and order status updates. Automated messaging and order to appointment linkage were configured to align build schedules with inventory availability and POS records.
Integrations included explicit connectors between Lightspeed eCom, Lightspeed Retail, Booxi, and Ikeono, enabling synchronized bookings and order records. Operational scope was concentrated on the Montreal location and affected store operations, sales workflows, and customer service for bespoke bike assembly.
Governance changes formalized appointment driven workflows and routed customer communications through the integrated stack, standardizing order acceptance and build scheduling processes. The solution streamlined appointment driven workflows and customer messaging in Montreal and improved automation of order and appointment coordination for the bike build business.
