In 2015 Revision Energy implemented Intuit QuickBooks Online as its ERP Financial application. The deployment supported a 350 person, employee owned construction and real estate firm operating across five operations locations in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, and was positioned to centralize accounting for the companys decentralized business units.
The implementation emphasized core ERP Financial capabilities, with configuration focused on the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory tracking, bank and credit card reconciliation, and sales and use tax reconciliation. Day to day transactional workflows implemented in Intuit QuickBooks Online include A/P invoice entry, weekly check runs, ACH and wire payment processing, vendor reconciliation and credit application management, credit card statement distribution and reconciliation, and month end account reconciliations to produce consolidated financial statements.
Operational ownership remained within the Legal and Finance Division, with the Staff Accountant role supporting the Controller, Director of Finance, CFO and distributed accounting users. The system was used to monitor the accuracy of transactions entered by various users, to coordinate decentralized accounting activities across the five sites, and to provide A/R reporting and collections visibility back to business units while supporting routine QuickBooks issue resolution for field teams.
Governance controls implemented around Intuit QuickBooks Online focused on ledger oversight and approval workflows, including approval and reconciliation processes for vendor payments and credit card expenses, structured month end close activities, and standardized account reconciliations and adjusting entries to support monthly management reporting packages.

The implementation focused on configuring lead management, opportunity pipeline stages, contact and account records, activity tracking, and sales engagement automation to support quoting and operational handoffs. Workflow automation and sequencing were used to standardize follow ups, enforce pipeline discipline, and capture installation project milestones.
Governance introduced centralized sales process definitions and ownership for pipeline stages to improve cross-office visibility and coordination between sales and field operations. Revision Energy leadership, including Greenhalgh, attributes much of the companys rapid growth and the company more than doubling in size in the past year to the integration of Zoho CRM Plus, and the application continues to serve as the operational core for sales and customer lifecycle management.
