Hexagon Legacy HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Rocky View County implemented HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) as its Enterprise Asset Management platform to formalize county asset registries and field maintenance workflows. The deployment was delivered into a hybrid on-premise and Microsoft Azure environment and was scoped to GIS driven asset domains including linear assets, cemetery maintenance, corporate properties, and AVL enabled field operations. HxGN EAM was configured to support core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities such as an asset registry, work order and preventive maintenance workflows, and mobile field data collection, with the HxGN EAM application surface extended to support spatially enabled asset visualization. Configuration and automation leveraged existing Microsoft SQL Server databases and ArcSDE spatial stores, with reporting and analytic outputs consumed via SSRS and SSAS and legacy Cognos reports retained where applicable. Automation of deployment and maintenance was implemented using PowerShell for installs and upgrades, with Python and T SQL scripts used to synchronize spatial data and automate scheduled geoprocessing tasks. Integrations were implemented to bind HxGN EAM to the county geospatial stack, the integration layer included ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online map services, GeoServer for specific Web Map Services, and custom Cityworks integrations using Cityworks REST API to synchronize work orders and asset geometry. The solution used IIS and Active Directory for application security, and integration touchpoints were maintained with back office systems including Avanti, Dynamics GP, and Questica for financial and HR handoffs. Operational governance emphasized spatial data stewardship and operational readiness, Rocky View County personnel administered and tuned spatial databases, defined backup and recovery and replication strategies for SQL Server and ArcSDE, and provided training and support for GIS and CAD users to integrate field and design data into the asset system. Penetration testing and application hardening were performed against county web applications as part of rollout controls, and customizations to the HxGN EAM interface and reporting were managed through established change controls and scripted deployment processes.
