In 2016, Royal Museums Greenwich implemented MHR iTrent HR to manage Core HR processes supporting visitor operations and back-office HR functions. The deployment targeted recruitment screening, absence management, holiday allowance administration, and line management workflows for Visitor and Sales Assistant Managers, Team Leaders, more than 200 Assistants and volunteers.
MHR iTrent HR was configured to run recruitment workflows and vacancy management and was integrated with Vacancy Filler software for candidate screening. The system managed absence and holiday entitlement administration and was used to inform a revised staffing structure and a new roster system at The Royal Observatory and Planetarium. iTrent was also used to coordinate HR-led recruitment evenings and workshops and to manage training rollouts for front-line staff.
Operational scope extended to coordination with the Trade Sales department around partner engagement and commercial activity, and to operational responsibilities for guest experience including admission ticket sales and retail staffing. Governance and process changes included assignment of manager responsibility for staffing structures, roster positioning, and standardized HR screening procedures, aligning Core HR workflows with visitor-facing operations and front-of-house training for the Gateway / Galaxy ticketing system across sites.
