In 2014, Russian Railways implemented Combo HR Leave and Absences as its Absence and Leave Management solution. The deployment was scoped as an enterprise absence and leave platform to standardize leave request submission, approval routing, entitlement and accrual calculations, and statutory leave tracking across the organization. Combo HR Leave and Absences was configured to deliver core modules for employee self service, manager approvals, entitlement engines, and absence reporting and analytics.
Digital Design Russia served as the systems integrator for the implementation, supporting configuration, testing, and rollout activities. The implementation included standard data synchronization patterns typical for Absence and Leave Management to align employee master data and time off records with HR master files and payroll systems, and to enable single sign on for user access. Governance workstreams defined approval matrices, policy variants by employee category, and operational handoffs between HR centers and line managers, with centralized configuration and localized policy overrides to address regional leave rules.
