In 2019, S-Good Maintenance deployed Freeway Time Recorder, a Time and Attendance application provided by Freeway Japan. The rollout replaced paper timecards across multiple branches in Japan to centralize HR attendance capture and reduce manual aggregation.
Implementation leveraged Freeway Time Recorder core capabilities for clock in and clock out recording, consolidated timesheet generation, and attendance aggregation at branch and corporate levels. Attendance records were linked to the companys existing Freeway Payroll system, enabling direct transfer of attendance data into payroll processing for smoother payroll runs. The deployment established a centralized attendance repository for HR reconciliation of schedules and overtime entries.
Operational governance formalized standard attendance workflows and a monthly aggregation cadence, which the case study reports moved monthly aggregation time from three days to one day. The implementation impacted HR and payroll functions across S-Good Maintenances branches in Japan, with vendor support from Freeway Japan for the Freeway Time Recorder Time and Attendance application and its payroll linkage.
