In 2017, Sadler’s Wells reassessed support arrangements for its Infor SunSystems deployment, retaining Infor SunSystems as its core ERP Financial application. As an existing Infor SunSystems user they reviewed three software partners, including their incumbent support provider, and selected Sapphire Systems as the new software support partner.
Sapphire Systems was selected after an evaluation led by finance stakeholders, with Ben Dart, Project Accountant, citing Sapphire’s presentation as decisive and giving him confidence that they could provide the required ongoing support. The engagement shifted support governance to Sapphire Systems, centralizing application support, incident management, and vendor escalation for finance and accounting operations on Infor SunSystems, while operational ownership and the Infor SunSystems environment remained within Sadler’s Wells finance.

In 2015, Sadler’s Wells implemented Tessitura CRM, a CRM used to centralize patron management, ticketing and fundraising workflows across the organization. The 270-employee United Kingdom performing arts organisation deployed Tessitura CRM to unify constituent records and operationalize box office and development processes within a single application platform.
Configuration focused on core CRM capabilities consistent with performing arts deployments, including constituent record management, ticketing workflow configuration and membership or fundraising record handling. Concurrent infrastructure work included server virtualization on a Hyper-V host, network segmentation via VLAN to manage busy traffic, and secure remote access via VPN and MS-RDP to support remote workers and administrative users.
Operational rollout and governance were led by an internal System Administrator who served as technical lead and provided first, second and third line support during implementation and afterward. Desktop and endpoint provisioning was standardized with Microsoft SCCM and GPO driven deployments during the same period, while disaster recovery preparedness was reinforced through UPS installation for servers and network switches.
The Tessitura CRM implementation was delivered alongside broader IT modernization activities that touched front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including a new HP wireless controller and access points, replacement of desktop hardware through centrally managed imaging, management of 50 mobile devices on a carrier plan, and refresh of point-of-sale and printing infrastructure. These concurrent initiatives supported operational coverage across box office, front-of-house, catering and IT support functions.
