In 2021, the Saskatoon Blades implemented Vend Inventory Management to power their multi-channel retail presence across in-store, online and game day pop-up shops. The Inventory Management deployment centralized merchandise control for the team store and event retail operations and supported fan-facing promotions including season ticket member discounts and game day specials.
Vend Inventory Management was configured to leverage Vend’s stock management and reporting modules, enabling ordering, receiving and mobile scanning workflows for fast inventory updates. The point of sale capability was provisioned on iPads and PCs so staff could transact and update stock from multiple device types, and reporting was used to extract sales and inventory data on demand for merchandising decisions.
Operationally Vend was integrated with BigCommerce to synchronize online storefront transactions and inventory, supporting a unified multi-channel commerce flow. Governance covered promotional rules for season ticket discounts and event specific pricing, plus an operational cadence for new stock intake and end of season clearance sales. The team cited Vend Inventory Management’s user friendliness and device flexibility, and the reporting features allowed staff to pull data at any time to support merchandising and fan engagement initiatives.
