Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2013 2013
In 2013 Seaman Corporation implemented Oracle E-Business Suite R12 to establish an ERP Financial reporting and analytics capability across sales, manufacturing and finance functions. The implementation included Oracle Business Intelligence Applications for Supply Chain Order Management Analytics and Manufacturing Analytics to analyze and track KPIs related to Order to Cash, manufacturing throughput and finance processes, supporting stakeholders from the executive team through sales and operations. The technical implementation involved installing and configuring OBIA, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition OBIEE 11g, Informatica PowerCenter, DAC and Oracle 11g as the core data platform. Configuration work included setting parameters and domain values for common areas and SCM and OM manufacturing analytics, deploying out of the box Informatica SDE and SIL mappings, and customizing SDE and SIL mappings to accommodate Descriptive Flex Fields, plus development of custom daily, month to date and year to date sales and commission reports using OBIEE and PL SQL. Data integration was staged from Oracle EBS R12 into the analytics layer using Informatica ETL orchestrated by DAC, with OBIEE reporting consuming the OBIA subject areas. The implementation addressed data level and object level security, supported user acceptance testing and end user training, and included ongoing administration and production support for OBIEE 11g, OBIA 7.9.6.x, DAC 11g and Informatica 9.0.1 on Windows 2008 R2 and Linux platforms. Governance and rollout were driven by a BI strategy and roadmap developed with executive sponsors and cross functional user groups, requirements captured through interviews and iterative proof of concept demonstrations, and weekly project reporting to the project sponsor. The program identified key business metrics that drive revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction and delivered analytic visibility into Order to Cash, manufacturing and finance workflows via Oracle E-Business Suite and the OBIA reporting stack.

Oracle Legacy Oracle OBIA Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2013 2013
In 2013 Seaman Corporation implemented Oracle OBIA to establish an enterprise reporting and analytics layer within its Analytics and BI portfolio, focused on Order to Cash, Manufacturing and Finance process visibility. The Oracle OBIA deployment targeted Supply Chain Order Management Analytics and Manufacturing Analytics, aligning BI output to Sales, Manufacturing and Operations business functions and executive KPI tracking. The implementation built a new BI environment with installation and configuration of OBIA, DAC, Informatica and OBIEE 11g, and used Oracle OBIA 7.9.6.3 and 7.9.6.4 artifacts within an Oracle 11g database. Configuration work included parameter and domain value setup for common areas and SCM & OM and Manufacturing Analytics, out of the box Informatica SDE and SIL mapping configuration, plus customized SDE/SIL mappings to accommodate Descriptive Flex Fields for extended dimensionality. Several custom reports and dashboard content were developed, including daily, MTD and YTD sales and commission reporting, and object level and data level security was implemented to govern access. Data integration was explicitly tied to Oracle EBS R12 as the transactional source, with Informatica PowerCenter 9.0.1 serving ETL, DAC 11g orchestrating load schedules, and PL/SQL used for data transformations and extraction logic. The runtime footprint spanned Windows 2008 R2 and Linux hosts for application components, and the architecture emphasized ETL-driven data warehousing, semantic layers in OBIEE, and analytic consumption for operational groups. Project governance centered on stakeholder-driven BI strategy and roadmap development, requirements capture through interviews with Sales, Manufacturing and Operations user groups, and frequent engagement with the executive sponsor via weekly status updates. Quick proof of concept demonstrations were used to validate analytics use cases and to illustrate how BI could be leveraged to increase profitability and customer satisfaction, while end user training and UAT activities were conducted prior to production cutover. Post go-live responsibilities included administering and providing production support for the Oracle OBIA environment, covering OBIEE 11g, OBIA 7.9.6.x, DAC 11g and Informatica 9.0.1. The project combined technical configuration, ETL customization and role-based governance to deliver Analytics and BI capabilities that supported operational reporting, KPI tracking and cross-functional analytics for Seaman Corporation.
