The deployment focused on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2013 R3 and targeted consolidation of monthly financial reporting and controlling workflows for the finance organization.
The implementation configured core financial and controlling capabilities within Microsoft Dynamics AX, aligning general ledger, accounts processes, and controlling reporting to support monthly close and group level reporting cycles. Microsoft Dynamics AX was instrumented to feed structured financial data into the group reporting model, and configuration work included supporting Controlling key user requirements identified during implementation.
The solution was backed by a SQL Server reporting and data store, with financial data loaded into the reporting database using Excel VBA processes and SQL Server Management Studio as part of the operational reporting pipeline. Power BI was used to prepare and maintain dashboards, providing a BI layer that consumed data originating from Microsoft Dynamics AX and the SQL Server reporting database for finance analytics and executive reporting.
Governance and operational rollout used a Controlling Key User model, with members of the IT department participating as business system consultants. Implementation activities included end user training, preparing user manuals, testing reports, and processing functional changes and enhancements to support ongoing financial reporting requirements across the group.

The system supported generation and consolidation of reports for Payroll, HR, Controlling and the company Management Board, and was used for onboarding employees into incentive and benefits programs. Data acquisition and analysis workflows for remuneration market trends were maintained within the AX environment to inform benefits design.
Governance and process ownership rested with the Payroll and Personnel Administration function, specifically Compensation and Benefits specialists responsible for data entry, benefits updates, provider reconciliation and communications to employees. Administrative processes were structured to support daily payroll inquiries, ongoing benefit changes, and preparation of civil law contracts for consultants, aligning Benefits Administration with broader HR, Accounting and Controlling controls.
