In 2010, Seplat implemented Infor SunSystems. Seplat deployed Infor SunSystems as an ERP Financial application to centralize core finance functions across its Nigeria oil and gas operations.
The implementation emphasized core financial modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and statutory reporting, with configuration to address oil and gas accounting practices. Financial close orchestration and automated posting workflows were configured to standardize month-end and statutory reporting cycles.
Infor SunSystems was integrated with the wider Infor product suite to provide extensibility, and expansion is currently underway as Seplat is working to implement Infor Enterprise Asset Management EAM. This integration path extends operational coverage from finance into planned asset management and maintenance accounting workflows.
Governance followed a phased rollout model to accommodate future growth, aligning finance process owners with operations for the EAM rollout and ongoing system configuration. The Infor SunSystems deployment delivered the flexibility to accommodate the future growth that Seplat required.
