SPS Commerce Legacy SPS Invoice AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2022 2022
In 2022, Serta implemented SPS Invoice as part of an AP Automation initiative to address deduction and revenue recovery issues tied to key retail partners. Serta Simmons Bedding engaged SupplyPike alongside SPS Commerce to diagnose EDI misalignments with Walmart that were driving valid deductions and post-audit chargebacks. Module usage is documented and inferred as part of SPS Commerce's Revenue Recovery and SPS Invoice suite, with a configuration focus on deductions management, automated invoice-to-EDI validation, and structured dispute workflows. The implementation emphasized automated identification of EDI exceptions and orchestration of revenue recovery workflows, aligning the SPS Invoice application with accounts payable and revenue protection processes. Operationally the work targeted chargeback and deduction control between Serta and Walmart, with SupplyPike performing EDI analysis to reduce valid deductions at the source and to support contested audit items. Governance changes included instituting formal challenge workflows and evidence-based dispute processes tied to the SPS Invoice platform, and the effort recovered or avoided roughly $200,000 by challenging a post-audit as documented in the SupplyPike customer story.
