| Trelica | Legacy | Trelica | IT Asset Management (ITAM), SaaS Spend Management | IT Asset Management | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Shakepay implemented Trelica to centralize oversight of cloud and SaaS assets under the IT Asset Management (ITAM),SaaS Spend Management category. The deployment positioned Trelica as the canonical inventory and subscription control plane for Shakepay, establishing a single source of truth for SaaS entitlements and contract metadata. Trelica is referenced by Shakepay as the application driving SaaS lifecycle visibility and cost governance.
Configuration emphasized core IT asset management capabilities, including consolidated SaaS inventory, subscription lifecycle tracking, license and seat management, contract repository and renewal tracking, and spend visibility for chargeback and allocation. Automation and policy-oriented features were applied to standardize recurring renewal alerts and to enforce provisioning and deprovisioning workflows consistent with ITAM and SaaS Spend Management practices. The implementation leveraged Trelica to provide centralized reporting on subscription exposures and to support routine audits of vendor entitlements.
Operational scope covered IT, finance, and procurement functions, aligning ownership of SaaS records and procurement approvals across those teams. Governance changes included role-based access control, tagging for cost center allocation, and the establishment of procurement approval workflows and nomination processes for SaaS onboarding. Rollout focused on institutionalizing a controlled SaaS procurement lifecycle and consistent recordkeeping using Trelica as the authoritative system for SaaS asset governance.
