Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Shannon Group PLC implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to expand ERP Financial capabilities across the group. The engagement took place from July 2017 to September 2017 at Shannon Airport Group in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland, and focused on centralising finance, procurement and related back-office workflows into a common Oracle instance to service all companies with consistent procedures and configuration. The work covered solution design, configuration and implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite modules including iExpenses, AGIS, iProcurement and core GL functionality. Additional configuration included setting up multiple ledgers and operating units for Shannon Group companies such as Shannon Heritage, addition of asset tax books, SLA adjustments for payroll accounting and a common Chart of Accounts across all ledgers and operating units. Oracle E-Business Suite was positioned as the ERP Financial backbone for finance, purchasing, expense management, payroll accounting and asset management functions. On integrations the assignment included responsibility for the eBusiness side of integration design, with CEMLI and solution designs created for Point of Sales interfaces and integration to existing Shannon Heritage booking systems. The implementation also supported a payroll solution design and integration to G with associated SLA changes, ensuring accounting and payroll posting flowed into the shared ledgers. The expanded instance covered group tourism related companies in addition to the airport operating units, centralising transaction capture and accounting. Governance and operational rollout included hands-on support to key finance users to enable a centralised shared services model, process training for end users, first month-end support after go-live and a formal handover to a third party support organisation. Configuration standards and consistent procedural settings were applied to enforce common control across operating units and ledgers, and SLA changes were managed as part of the payroll integration and month-end close procedures.

Insightsoftware Legacy Insightsoftware Hubble Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, Shannon Group PLC implemented Insightsoftware Hubble. The deployment targeted finance reporting and reconciliation across the airports group, using Insightsoftware Hubble in the Analytics and BI category to centralize on-demand financial information for the Shares Service Centre and subsidiary finance teams. Insightsoftware Hubble was configured to report directly against Shannon Airport's Oracle EBS transactional models, enabling General Ledger to subledger reconciliation, drill down to supporting information, on-demand budget reporting, and rapid ad hoc report generation. Configurations included prebuilt financial reporting templates, reconciliation workflows, role-based access controls, and self-service reporting for finance users. Hubble's integration with Oracle EBS provided fast reporting over currency, tonnage, and passenger statistics held in the airport Oracle system, eliminating hours of manual data collation. Operational coverage spanned the central finance function, the Shares Service Centre, and subsidiary finance teams, enabling quicker responses to business requests and audit inquiries. Governance shifted reporting ownership and routine report wiring from external IT support to finance, changing workflows so business users could run reconciliations and produce budget reports directly. Reported outcomes for Shannon Group PLC included reducing the month-end close from two days to half a day, cutting interface reconciliation report creation time from half a day to minutes, instant GL to subledger reconciliations, and faster audits.
