SICAMB Technographics, Software Purchases, AI and Digital Transformation Initiatives
Discover the latest software purchases and digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by SICAMB and its business and technology executives. Each quarter our research team identifies on-prem and cloud applications that are being used by the 343 SICAMB employees from the public (Press Releases, Customer References, Testimonials, Case Studies and Success Stories) and proprietary sources.
During our research, we have identified that SICAMB has purchased the following applications: Sorma Si5 for Manufacturing ERP in 2014, Altair HyperMesh for 3D Modeling in 2014 and the related IT decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our database provides customer insight and contextual information on which enterprise applications and software systems SICAMB is running and its propensity to invest more and deepen its relationship with Sorma Srl , Altair Engineering , Dassault Systemes or identify new suppliers as part of their overall Digital and IT transformation projects to stay competitive, fend off threats from disruptive forces, or comply with internal mandates to improve overall enterprise efficiency.
We have been analyzing SICAMB revenues, which have grown to $43.0 million in 2024, plus its IT budget and roadmap, cloud software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions for SICAMB intention to invest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database or in cloud-based ERP, HCM, CRM, EPM, Procurement or Treasury applications.

In 2014, SICAMB implemented Sorma Si5 as its Manufacturing ERP to support production and engineering functions at its Sicamb SpA site in Latina, Italy. The deployment used an AS400 based Sorma Si5 management software instance to centralize production data and operational records for shop floor control and tool management.
Sorma Si5 was configured to manage production factors and tool lifecycle activities, including the creation and storage of tool cards, CAM program analysis workflows, and inventory tracking for cutting tools. Functional capabilities observed include production planning and scheduling aligned with CNC process optimization, tool database management, and transaction level stock analysis for production use.
The implementation integrated operational workflows with Catia V5 for tool card and CAM program authoring and with Excel for CNC process optimization and documentation handoffs. Governance and process changes were localized to the production and engineering areas, with coordination between the Production Manager, the Engineering area, and the IT department, and weekly documentation routines established to populate and maintain the tool database in Sorma Si5.

In 2014, SICAMB implemented Altair HyperMesh for 3D Modeling. The deployment focused on the engineering organization, supporting structure design workstreams tied to aircraft component assemblies, including primary and secondary structure design, assembly integration, and feasibility verification for Main Deck Cargo Door programs.
Altair HyperMesh was configured as the finite element pre‑processor and mesh generation environment for 3D CAD model preparation and model verification. Functional capabilities implemented included CAD import and cleansing, mesh generation and quality controls, finite element model setup for structural analysis, and preparation of analysis input datasets consistent with engineering workflows.
Integrations and input management explicitly included Catia V5 geometry intake and use of Excel spreadsheets for weight and center of gravity estimation, with PowerPoint used for engineering deliverables and reviews. Operational coverage spanned structure design engineers responsible for assembly integration, as well as verification checks for electrical and hydraulic system interfaces during model feasibility assessments.
Governance emphasized 3D CAD model management and a CAD database management approach to standardize input models for analysis, enforce model verification checkpoints, and align engineering deliverables. Altair HyperMesh served as the central 3D Modeling tool in SICAMB’s engineering workflow for preparing validated analysis-ready models.
