In 2015 Sinergia Inc. deployed Fund EZ Accounting as its ERP Financial application to centralize core accounting operations in its New York business office. The implementation was positioned to support accounts receivable and accounts payable workflows, general ledger management, bank reconciliations, vendor administration, and cash controls for the nonprofit organization.
Fund EZ Accounting was configured to run standard financial modules including general ledger posting and month end accruals, accounts receivable reconciliation to trial balance, accounts payable reporting, multi bank reconciliations, journal entry processing, vendor onboarding and petty cash management. The system was used to code and post payment expenses and to post receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts, reflecting a transaction-centric configuration aligned with ERP Financial workflows.
Operational coverage concentrated on the business office and Medicaid billing administration, with Fund EZ Accounting used to monitor Medicaid billing documentation for OPWDD compliance and to maintain record retention policy adherence. The implementation supported functional responsibilities such as reconciling discrepancies between accounts receivable general ledger accounts and trial balances, composing accounts payable reports, and balancing monthly general ledger accounts to record cost and accruals.
Governance and process changes emphasized record retention enforcement and assignment of vendor accounts within the application, and a designated Accounting Specialist executed general ledger analysis, reconciliations and journal entries as part of the operational cadence.
