In 2023, Sipro implemented Emerson Movicon as its Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) application for copper-winding and assembly machines in Italy. The first deployment targeted an electric motor manufacturer and explicitly addressed operator usability, data historization, and production reporting requirements using Emerson Movicon SCADA/HMI. The implementation combined machine-level HMI runtime on copper-winding and assembly equipment with a centralized supervisory layer for visualization, alarm management, and time-series data capture. Emerson Movicon was configured to provide structured production reporting, historization services, and operator-focused screens, aligning HMI ergonomics with supervisory SCADA functions. The project included integration of disparate systems to increase customer flexibility, using Emerson Movicon to unify data flows and support heterogeneous equipment environments. Rollout was staged beginning with the electric motor OEM cells and included standardization of HMI screens and configuration templates to preserve operator usability and support repeatable deployments across additional sites and customers in Italy.
