In 2024, Sitemate implemented Rippling Onboarding to centralize Onboarding and core HR workflows across its operations and people teams. Sitemate is a technology company headquartered in Australia with expanding operations in London and Vancouver, and Rippling Onboarding was positioned as the single source of truth for employee data, approvals, and new hire flows.
The deployment leveraged Rippling Onboarding capabilities such as automated onboarding checklists, an approvals app for manager requests and promotions, centralized reporting, and app and device management that supported the company’s compliance needs. Rippling Onboarding consolidated three separate recruiting and onboarding tools into one platform, and the unified configuration reduced data fragmentation while surfacing compensation and headcount reporting used by hiring managers and the board.
Operational coverage extended from HR and recruiting into accounting and payroll processes where Sitemate previously relied on email chains, Confluence, Excel, and manual updates to payroll software such as Xero. The implementation also enabled companywide policy scaling for multinational hires, enabling consistent onboarding controls across Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and other target markets, while Rippling’s app and device management contributed to the company achieving SOC 2 certification.
Governance and process changes centered on routing approvals through the Rippling approvals app and establishing Rippling Onboarding as the canonical employee record to improve data integrity and reporting. Outcomes called out by Sitemate include saving two full time administrative hires, reducing more than 100 hours annually in payroll work, consolidating three recruiting and onboarding systems into one, and achieving SOC 2 certification through improved app and device controls.
