In 2013, Slate Asset Management implemented JLL Asset Beacon as its centralized Enterprise Asset Management hub. JLL Asset Beacon serves as a portfolio-level repository deployed to support Slate’s global holdings in Canada, United States and Europe, and the platform was originally developed in-house by Slate before being co-developed with JLL Technologies.
The implementation consolidates leasing, operational and financial data into a single asset register and reporting layer that underpins investor reporting and decision-making. Configuration emphasized lease management functionality, operational data consolidation and alignment of financial records to a consistent asset data model, enabling standardized asset and ownership attributes across the portfolio.
Operational coverage includes asset management, leasing, operations and finance teams across Slate’s international portfolio, providing portfolio-level visibility and standardized datasets for reporting workflows. Ongoing development and scaling are delivered in partnership with JLL Technologies, reflecting a co-development model that maintains a central codebase and product roadmap for the application.
Governance shifted to centralized data governance and a single source of truth for investor reporting, with JLL Asset Beacon used to improve transparency and scale as described by the client. The 2013 implementation year and live timeline are presented as estimates based on the source narrative.
