In 2020 Smeg implemented 4Flying eTeam DAM as a Digital Asset Management platform branded SMEG MEDIA HUB to centralize and serve marketing and product media from its Italy hub. The deployment established a centralized repository that now hosts approximately 180,000 assets and supports about 2,000 users, consolidating global media stewardship under a single Digital Asset Management instance for marketing and product content.
The implementation configured standard Digital Asset Management functional areas including metadata and taxonomy-driven indexing, role based access controls, versioning, and search optimization to support cross-country collaboration. 4Flying eTeam DAM was configured to manage product imagery and marketing creatives with governance workflows and approval processes aligned to marketing and product lifecycle requirements.
Operational architecture uses a CDN paired with a PIM integration to accelerate global media delivery and ensure product information and rich media remain synchronized for commerce and marketing channels. The platform was provisioned from Smeg's Italy hub and serves country teams and marketing and product functions across multiple international sites, enabling shared asset consumption and distributed publishing.
Governance and rollout prioritized centralized media governance, standardized metadata practices, and workflow orchestration to improve collaboration across countries and strengthen content delivery controls. The SMEG MEDIA HUB implementation emphasized operational control and media governance backed by 4Flying eTeam DAM to speed global media delivery and support cross‑functional marketing and product activities.
