The program included a CostPoint 8.0 upgrade and targeted enhancements to core financial modules such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, project and contract accounting, cost accounting and DCAA compliance controls. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts harmonization, job cost accounting rules and audit traceability consistent with ERP Financial functional workflows.
The initiative led post-acquisition integration and consolidation efforts, using Deltek CostPoint to centralize accounting and reporting across acquired entities and align financial close and DCAA audit evidence. Operational coverage focused on corporate finance, project accounting teams, treasury operations and internal audit across SMX United States operations.
Governance adjustments established formal financial reporting ownership, DCAA audit readiness processes and an enhancement roadmap tied to the CostPoint 8.0 lifecycle. SMX Deltek CostPoint ERP Financial now serves as the system of record for accounting, tax and compliance functions within the private-equity ownership structure.

Operationally the Sterling Background Check service is used by SMX recruiting and HR teams within the United States to support hiring and onboarding compliance for the professional services organization. Governance for the implementation includes candidate disclosure and the right for subjects to request the nature and scope of any investigative consumer report via written request, with Sterling Talent Solutions identified as the outside organization conducting education and employment investigations as part of the program.
SMX Sterling Background Check BackGround Screening supports employment screening and onboarding verification workflows, with the nature and scope of investigative consumer reports and authorizations explicitly documented in candidate notices and retention policies to align screening activity with applicable legal requirements.
