In 2022 Softlogic Sri Lanka integrated the Mintpay Platform as a Payment Processing solution across its retail channels. The deployment targeted online and in-store sales channels including Odel.lk, MySoftlogic.lk and Softlogic Max, covering payments across the Softlogic network of more than 100 brands. The implementation focused on broadening consumer payment choice across retail and e-commerce operations.
Softlogic configured the Mintpay Platform to surface two primary payment capabilities at checkout, Pay Now with instant cashback and Buy-Now-Pay-Later offering three interest-free instalments. These capabilities were embedded into the checkout workflow to present consumers with immediate discounting and staged payment options consistent with Payment Processing functional flows. Configuration included checkout user interface placement and transaction routing rules to ensure option availability across product categories.
Integration spanned both e-commerce storefronts and physical point of sale, enabling the Mintpay Platform to operate across online checkout flows and in-store payment acceptance. Operational ownership aligned with retail payments and commerce teams to coordinate channel integration, merchant enrollment and customer communications. The scope of integration encompassed retail, payments operations and customer experience functions across the Softlogic organization.
Rollout was positioned to increase conversion and broaden payment choice for customers in Sri Lanka, with Pay Now and BNPL options aimed at improving checkout conversion and shopper flexibility. Governance included channel level onboarding of brands and centralized payments oversight to manage acceptance rules and promotional cashback parameters. The Mintpay Platform is the named Payment Processing application within Softlogic Sri Lanka's retail technology stack.
