The engagement was executed from December 2017 to June 2018 at Specified Technologies Inc in Bridgewater, NJ, with scope aligned to the retail companys core supply chain and finance operations.
The implementation included deployment and configuration of Manufacturing, Distribution and Financial modules within Acumatica Cloud ERP Distribution Edition. Key configuration work encompassed setup of core master data and key tables, creation of Generic Inquiries for operational reporting, establishment of automated schedules and automated notifications, and construction of approval processes to support order to cash and procurement workflows.
Operational coverage targeted manufacturing, distribution and finance departments, with a focus on end-user adoption and process standardization. The project team gathered business and functional requirements from end users, documented current business processes and workflows, produced user documentation, and conducted extensive end-user training to embed the Distribution ERP into daily operational practice.
Governance and quality assurance activities were formalized through a security matrix to define roles across modules, development of testing scenarios, and hands-on testing of customizations. During GAP analysis the team captured business requirements for future process improvements, preserving a backlog for subsequent releases and process redesign work.
