In 2016, Sri Utama Schools deployed Sage UBS POS Plus, the Point Of Sale application, at its Setapak, Kuala Lumpur campus. The implementation targeted front-office administrative and finance workflows to support collections, student fee transactions, and customer service operations.
Sage UBS POS Plus was configured to capture point of sale transactions, issue receipts, and manage cash handling workflows consistent with Point Of Sale functional patterns, while producing structured transaction records for accounts receivable. Configuration work focused on transaction types, payment method mapping, and daily cash reconciliation to align POS activity with school accounting procedures.
The POS implementation integrated with the UBS Accounting system AR for collections and income entry, with the front office administrator responsible for collecting and entering payment data into UBS Accounting AR. Operational coverage centered on administration and finance teams, and the administrator also served as the operational liaison with external stakeholders such as the Ministry of Education and the Immigration Department for student and guardian visa processes.
