TechnologyOne Legacy TechnologyOne ERP ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2015 2016
In 2015, St Vincent de Paul Society QLD deployed TechnologyOne ERP, implementing TechnologyOne Financials and Enterprise Budgeting as part of the OneCommunity solution within the ERP Financial category. The organisation sought an integrated financial and budgeting system to address limitations in its prior financial processes and to provide flexible accounting for roughly 650 local cost centres across 210 Conferences and eight dioceses in Queensland. The deployment configured TechnologyOne Financials alongside Enterprise Budgeting to centralise general ledger, subledger and budgeting workflows, and it introduced a new account structure to improve productivity. Reporting automation was enabled through XLOne exports and prebuilt reporting templates, allowing instant refresh of financial reports and reducing manual report preparation tasks. TechnologyOne ERP was used to standardise budgeting cycles and to support flexible subledger allocations across cost centres. Operational coverage extended across finance and budgeting teams, with the system supporting distribution workflows for emergency funding and multi‑branch allocations, leveraging TechnologyOne subledger capabilities to manage fund distribution across local branches. The implementation handled sector specific requirements for not for profit accounting and enabled the Society to account for program level funding and grant distributions without bespoke external tools. Governance and process changes focused on automated reporting, repeatable report definitions and accountable data entry, shifting staff effort from manual report assembly to review and analysis. As a result stated by the organisation, reporting turnaround shortened from a 30 day cycle to a 10 business day cycle, accuracy and transparency of financial information improved, and the system supported rapid distribution of approximately $26 million in emergency funding shortly after go live.
