In 2020, St. Wendel implemented innovaphone myApps to centralize municipal communications under a Collaboration platform. The deployment paired innovaphone myApps with an innovaphone PBX to provide a unified communications layer for municipal operations in Germany, and the account-level architecture emphasized a central operator desk and distributed site connectivity.
The implementation configured core innovaphone myApps capabilities including the Switchboard operator application, the Softphone client, and the Fax app to handle inbound and outbound citizen interactions. The innovaphone myApps deployment also aligned with standard Collaboration functional modules, including presence, messaging, and user provisioning workflows, to support multi-channel municipal service desks and staff mobility.
Integrations concentrated on the innovaphone PBX as the central switching and routing platform, extending SIP trunks and endpoint management to numerous remote properties such as schools, community halls, and parking facilities. The deployment scope covered municipal departments and remote sites across the district, creating centralized call routing, operator console handling, and secure remote access for distributed users.
Implementation partner NTA managed rollout and operational cutover activities, with governance focused on operator desk processes and secure remote working policies. The project delivered improved citizen service availability and simplified, secure remote working via innovaphone myApps, while retaining municipal control over telephony routing and operator workflows.
