In 2021 Stagecoach Group implemented Workday Benefits as part of its People Transformation Programme and aligned the deployment with the company wide Workday HCM rollout, positioning Workday Benefits within the organization’s Benefits Administration landscape. The implementation was driven by an HCM and Benefits Workstream Lead role spanning January 2020 to April 2021, providing program governance and a single point of accountability for benefits design and delivery.
The Workday Benefits configuration focused on standard Benefits Administration capabilities, including benefits plan and eligibility configuration, employee self service enrollment, event driven life cycle processing, and benefits data reporting and auditability. The implementation scope covered HR, benefits and total rewards functions across Stagecoach Group in the United Kingdom, with the Workday HCM and Benefits workstream coordinating testing cycles, data conversions and cutover sequencing.
Governance was managed through the People Transformation Programme workstream, with the HCM and Benefits Workstream Lead orchestrating configuration sign off, user acceptance testing and stakeholder engagement across HR and benefits teams. Workday Benefits was embedded as the central Benefits Administration application for day to day enrollment and eligibility processing, and the programme emphasis was on standardized processes, role based access and traceable configuration governance.
