In 2014, StatePlus implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial platform to consolidate core finance and reporting functions. The program concentrated on deploying the Sun GL Systems capability and replatforming financial and management reporting onto the new application. The initiative was executed alongside a payroll outsourcing decision, moving payroll processing to an onshore provider while integrating payroll outputs into SunSystems.

Integrations centered on exchanging payroll data with the onshore payroll provider, feeding payroll journal entries and employee cost allocations into Infor SunSystems GL and harmonizing data for management reporting. Operational coverage focused on the finance organization, with changes touching financial accounting, management reporting units, and payroll reconciliation workflows. The deployment architecture established a centralized GL instance serving corporate finance and consolidated reporting processes.
Governance was organized as a finance program of change, with dedicated coordination and leadership for the finance stream to manage process redesign, data migration, and cutover sequencing. The rollout included transitioning financial and management reporting processes onto Sun GL Systems, establishing process ownership, and aligning reporting controls and reconciliation procedures. Program responsibilities explicitly included outsourcing payroll and ensuring the new ERP Financial configuration supported the outsourced payroll feed and post payroll accounting processes.
