| COINS Global | Legacy | COINS ERP | Construction ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Structural Group implemented COINS ERP as its Construction ERP to centralize financial and project accounting. The deployment targeted finance and project controls across six branches driving $130M in combined branch revenue, while supporting a company with $500,000,000 in revenue and 2,500 employees.
COINS ERP was configured to deliver core COINS Accounting system capabilities including job costing, work in progress reporting, monthly projections and budgeting. The implementation included accounts receivable and collection workflows, accounts payable and subcontract payment approvals, payroll processing, inventory and warehouse ordering tied to job cost, change order management, expense control and detailed project cost and margin analysis.
Operational governance was formalized through monthly PowerPoint financial reviews to branch leadership, quarterly business line financial reviews to senior management, and facilitated monthly WIP calls with project and branch managers covering 100 plus active projects. The rollout established a cadence of weekly AP and subcontract payment approvals, bi monthly branch site visits, and a training program for project managers and project engineers on COINS Accounting system job cost reporting and monthly WIP and projection procedures.
Explicit operational outcomes reported during the COINS ERP era include implementation of an inventory process to track warehouse inventory linked to job costing, and a reduction in days sales outstanding by more than 30 days with accounts receivable reduced by $4M following the new AR and collections process. The program also institutionalized 7 to 10 detailed project reviews per month for projects greater than $1M contract value.
