| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 SunOpta implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to consolidate core finance operations under an ERP Financial platform supporting corporate and plant accounting. The implementation centered on financial close and reporting workflows to support budgeting, monthly P&L reviews, and routine day to day accounting in Oracle R12.
Configuration emphasized financial modules aligned with ERP Financial use cases, including Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets accounting tracked in Oracle, intercompany accounting and reconciliation, and General Ledger driven P&L processes. Lease accounting was operated to meet ASC842 requirements, and finance teams produced detailed Excel pivot based trend and predictive analysis that consumed Oracle E-Business Suite transactional data for plant and SG&A review.
The deployment was integrated with third party payroll systems Ceridian and DayForce for payroll accounting and interfaced with cross functional domains including Plant Operations, Supply Chain, Corporate Reporting, Customer Service, Sales, Human Resources, Information Technology, Collections and Payables. Oracle E-Business Suite served as the central transactional source for finance teams executing AR reserve determinations, applying AR deductions, balancing intercompany accounts and maintaining fixed asset and prepaid asset ledgers.
Governance and operational controls were formalized through maintenance of roughly 30 corporate policies, internal controls oversight, coordination of annual insurance premium renewals and routine liaison with internal and external auditors. The implementation supported centralized finance workflows, role based operational ownership within accounting, and ongoing process collaboration between cost accountants and operations to drive consistency and transparency in financial reporting.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014, SunOpta implemented Oracle Cloud HCM as its Core HR system. The deployment established Oracle Cloud HCM as the companywide HRIS backbone, consolidating core HR records and standardizing employee data for the corporate HR function.
Configuration focused on core HR modules within Oracle Cloud HCM, with implementation activities addressing payroll interfaces, time capture workflows, and workforce management alignment. The program included concurrent HRIS workstreams for Kronos WFM and the implementation of Ceridian Dayforce for payroll and workforce management, creating a multi-system workforce and payroll architecture.
Operational integration centered on HRIS support of payroll, time and HR systems and on feeding Oracle BI reporting for centralized HR analytics. Payroll and WFM components were subjected to internal and external Deloitte audit, and ongoing HRIS support processes were established to govern payroll, time and HR system operations.

| RFgen Software | Legacy | RFgen Fixed Asset | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, SunOpta implemented RFgen Fixed Asset in Enterprise Asset Management to extend RFgen mobilization to asset tracking. The RFgen Fixed Asset application was deployed in the context of an existing RFgen rollout that mobilized inventory, manufacturing, and order fulfillment processes.
The implementation used barcode based mobile capture and asset tagging to create a centralized asset register, applying standard Enterprise Asset Management capabilities such as mobile inspection, location assignment, and serialized equipment tracking. Configuration emphasized shop floor and plant equipment use cases, and the deployment enabled rapid in house mobile app development for additional operational workflows.
Deployment architecture integrated RFgen mobile clients with multiple ERP environments across ten facilities in North America, aligning asset records with inventory and manufacturing transaction flows. Operational coverage included manufacturing, inventory control, order fulfillment, and maintenance adjacent teams, preserving traceability between material movement and physical assets.
Rollout was executed as a multi site mobilization to standardize mobile capture and to govern asset data across sites, with cross functional process alignment between operations and maintenance. The case study explicitly cites improved traceability and the ability to rapidly develop in house mobile applications, and it is consistent with RFgen Fixed Asset capabilities to apply fixed asset tracking to plant equipment and shop floor assets.
