A Collector for Mail component intercepted Exchange client server traffic to deduplicate attachments and route email into the central repository, improving mail server efficiency and optimizing archive storage. Operational coverage included Accounting, Human Resources, and corporate communications, with repository access governed by discriminated access rules and automatic foldering logic to enforce security and auditability. Document flow was reorganized and archival indexes standardized to streamline retrieval and reduce manual steps across departments. Stated outcomes from the project included automated and faster business processes, company cost savings, an always updated historical archive, reduced risk of errors, security and control of document access, increased productivity, improved mail server performance, and optimized archive space, supporting further expansion of archiving practices.
