In 2022 Surf Life Saving NZ implemented Connecteam Health and Safety to centralize volunteer scheduling, training and the publication of health and safety protocols within its Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) operations. The deployment was explicitly positioned to support volunteer onboarding, ongoing HR training and standardized hazard workflows across regional units in New Zealand.
Connecteam Health and Safety was configured to deliver health and safety content distribution alongside structured volunteer training modules and onboarding workflows, and to manage volunteer scheduling and task assignments. The implementation emphasized digital publication of H&S protocols and formalized hazard response sequences, aligning operational checklists and role-based training with day to day field activities.
Operational rollout covered volunteer units and regional centers across New Zealand, improving regional operations and extending HR and training function reach into field operations.
