| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2021 | 2022 |
In 2021, Dah Chong Hong adopted Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial platform to establish a unified data foundation for its One DCH vision, beginning with the Electrical Appliances Division and the recently acquired Gilman business. The deployment was scoped as the initial group-level rollout to tie together operating processes across those two business units, with phased expansion to other divisions planned to support cross-unit operational alignment and consolidated reporting.
The implementation configured core finance and operations capabilities within Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations including finance ledger integration, procurement to pay workflows, order management, inventory and warehouse synchronization, delivery tracking, and after-sales service linkage. Power Platform was used to automate select processes and Microsoft 365 tools including Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive provided workplace integration, while Power BI was leveraged for analytics and reporting to surface operational insights.
The solution was provisioned on Microsoft cloud infrastructure to maintain up-to-date security and product innovation, enabling anytime, anywhere access across devices for staff. Real-time syncing between the ERP and warehouse systems was a functional focus to drive a paperless supply chain, and the platform orientation emphasized integration across Microsoft applications to reduce data silos.
Governance and rollout followed an IT led program model, the IT department working with a consultant to set targets, identify execution challenges, cost estimates and launch milestones. Go-live milestones were explicit, with Gilman going live in January 2021 and the Electrical Appliances Division launching in November 2021, and operational ownership structured to link transactional flows directly into the group finance function.
As reported, the implementation enabled business continuity and remote operations during the pandemic by preserving access to stock, sales orders, delivery status, inventory and maintenance information, accelerated ordering and back office processes through real-time data flows, and advanced the group objective of a paperless supply chain. Dah Chong Hong Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations ERP Financial integration positioned finance, procurement, sales and warehouse functions to operate from a single platform and to support ongoing digitization across the group.

Google Tag Manager was used to centralize client-side tag deployment and enable event-level tracking to support marketing, e-commerce, and analytics workflows for the Hong Kong site. The implementation establishes a container-based approach to tag control and enables non-developer teams to manage tracking through the Google Tag Manager interface.
The deployment uses a site-level container snippet and leverages dataLayer patterns, tag templates, triggers and variables to capture pageviews and custom events, with preview and versioning workflows governing changes before publish.
