In 2011, TD Securities USA implemented Tier1ACE as its CRM for the Investment Banking business. The deployment consolidated salesforce.com and Tier1CRM into a unified Tier1ACE CRM architecture to support relationship management and deal tracking.
As the IT business analyst on the program, the analyst led requirement workshops and established the initial project plan while performing data analysis and transformation to prepare for migration into Tier1ACE. Two key components were delivered as part of the CRM roll out, an Outlook integration built from a customized RIVA implementation and a tailored expense management module. The expense management component required an explicit integration with the existing TD enterprise expense system and the Outlook integration required customized mail and calendar synchronization workflows.
Implementation work focused on embedding Tier1ACE CRM capabilities into Investment Banking sales and support workflows, aligning contact and opportunity management with email synchronization and expense reporting. The project scope centered on front-office relationship management and finance-facing expense workflows, with the CRM connecting user-facing Outlook activity to centralized records. Deliverables were coordinated across technical and business stakeholders, with prioritization and iterative testing driving acceptance.
Governance activities included structured requirement sessions, a formal project plan, and extensive testing cycles for both the RIVA-based Outlook integration and the expense system interface. The rollout emphasized coordination, deliverable management, and end-to-end validation rather than prescriptive change metrics.
