Global Messaging Legacy Global Messaging Platform CPaaS (Communication Platform as a Service) PaaS n/a 2024 2024
In 2024 Telecom Armenia deployed the Global Messaging Platform as a CPaaS (Communication Platform as a Service) implementation to secure and commercialize SMS traffic across its network. The Global Messaging Platform deployment targeted telecom network operations in Armenia and was positioned to protect the messaging infrastructure while enabling A2P monetisation workflows. The implementation installed an SMS firewall and a central messaging hub as core functional modules, providing message filtering, traffic inspection, and policy enforcement for inbound and outbound SMS streams. Configuration focused on message classification, spam and smishing detection, and routing controls, coupled with monetisation controls for A2P messaging to allow commercial charging and partner settlement workflows. Operational coverage centered on Telecom Armenia network operations and commercial teams within Armenia, where the messaging hub mediated operator-grade message flows and applied security policies at scale. Integrations were scoped to the operator messaging plane and billing/charging interfaces that govern A2P revenue capture, preserving network integrity while routing legitimate traffic. Governance and rollout emphasized centralized traffic control and monetisation policy ownership by network and commercial stakeholders, with the program operating as an operator-grade messaging control plane. The program delivered a dramatic revenue uplift reported as a multiplication of SMS revenue, materially reduced spam and smishing, and improved subscriber experience.
