The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment targeted end to end business functions including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory management and shop floor accounting for manufacturing operations. The implementation configured discrete modules including Order Management, Purchasing, Inventory, Flow Manufacturing, Bill of Materials, Work in Process, Shipping, Receivables and Payables. Oracle E-Business Suite was instrumented to support procure-to-pay workflows, sales order processing, manufacturing data capture and inventory reconciliation, and the project included configuration of outbound sales order views and manufacturing data collection pre-processor components. Integrations were executed between Oracle E-Business Suite and retail and operations systems such as RMS, MES, WCS, EMU, and multiple test and staging instances including SIT and UAT. The program built automated data reconciliation for deliveries, orders, customers, items and requisitions across EBS, RMS, MES and WCS, and produced cross-instance discrepancy reports to surface mismatches. A specific reconciliation and invoice correction flow was developed to resolve freight amount variances derived from 3PL warehouse ship confirmation messages. Governance and operationalization work included creation of a formal process for internal organization transfers, logging and resolving service requests with Oracle, and user training on RMS to EBS to RMS internal requisitions and internal sales orders. Testing and quality assurance were formalized through configuration of Smart Bare QA Complete and Test Complete, and Selenium was used for automated functional testing. Performance and tuning efforts focused on the Sales Orders Outbound View and the Manufacturing Data Collection Pre-Processor to stabilize production data flows.

Project delivery included management of an on shore off shore project team and oversight of the client project team, with daily interaction with management, executive staff and project sponsors to drive design decisions and issue resolution. The engagement also coordinated the relationship between Oracle support and the client to ensure operational handoffs and post go live support alignment. Governance activities included program level oversight during the 18 month engagement and assistance in developing a three year roadmap for additional Oracle product rollouts, explicitly including Warehouse Management, Contract Manufacturing and Oracle Retail expansions. Process governance emphasized cross functional alignment across finance, supply chain, procurement and merchandising to enable the staged rollout defined in the roadmap.
