In 2017 Tesco implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial platform, migrating from Oracle E-Business Suite. The implementation was executed as a global, phased rollout within the broader GFT programme and coexisted with the Oracle Retail product family and several on premise financial and retail systems to support multinational operations.
Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to support core financial management and procurement workflows, with explicit data migration of suppliers, purchase orders and other master and transactional entities required for phased go lives. The programme applied cloud based best practice configurations, and delivery included functional SME leadership and integration architecture to align solution options and roadmaps across geographies.
Integrations were designed to coexist with Oracle 11i ERP, HFM and RMS alongside the Oracle Retail suite, with data feeds and reporting pipelines feeding analytical stores. Operational reporting and analytics were delivered from Oracle Cloud ERP using OTBI, BICS and Hadoop to support finance, procurement and operational reporting needs across sites and regions.
Governance was enforced through a Functional and Technical design authority role, global client workshops and a single escalation route for delivery teams, supplemented by Product Owner collaboration to validate business requirements. The programme drove adoption of enterprise architecture principles and standards, provided direction to external suppliers on systems and data architecture, and aligned solution viability and investment decisions to the programme IT roadmap.

Operational focus was on career site integration, recruiter and hiring manager workflow orchestration, and centralized candidate lifecycle management through TribePad ATS.
